It's not hard to approach Nina Labelle. The only thing intimidating about her may be her pretty looks that she works hard to maintain. She's very confident about herself and isn't afraid to actually approach and engage with others. Honestly, she is a kind and charming young lady, who has a very friendly demeanor! Said demeanor is not a front or mask, Nina is a very genuine person.

She easily engages in casual conversation with all sorts of people - from the rambunctious to the timid. To be honest, it takes a rather creepy or aggressive person to throw off her chatty groove. Someone that throws off her flow can be very jarring for her, but she does her best to work with who or what she's given. Nina does her best to make sure everything flows smoothly, avoid conflict, and make sure everyone's okay.

Actually, her want to ensure others is alright has her putting other people before herself a majority of the time. It can reach extreme levels of neglecting her own needs in favor of others, sadly. She busies herself with trying to keep everything in line for everyone to the point that it's easy to see why some of her friends would refer to her as group mom.

Which then lends it's hand to why Nina struggles with aggressive people, or conflict in general. She will rarely ever try to start a fight, unless someone has really crossed a line with her. The worst that typically comes from Nina is exasperation or irritation with her more troublesome friends - but that typically is only a result of her caring for them and not genuine anger.

There is a sense of ease that Nina craves and dealing with people or a situation that wishes to complicate things is unnerving to say the least. Under pressure, Nina deteriorates from her usually calm and cool demeanor to a bumbling mess. She doesn't deal well with stress, at all, often getting confused easily and incredibly anxious the more stressed she is.

Typically she does her best to not show this frazzled side of herself in order to present her best at all times. She wants to be a rock others can lean on for support or guidance, after all. But among good friends, Nina's cracks easily open to give away when something's bothered her or worried her. She's a bit of an open book without meaning to when in the comfort of good company.



Born and raised in Kalos, Nina Labelle's origins are by no means a secret courtesy of her thick accent. However, while her home region is no secret, her family is something she once tried to avoid talking about. There was nothing wrong with her family but when she was younger, she always felt weird about being adopted. Seeing stories about parents and their children all the time, it put the question in her mind about why her real parents hadn't kept her. She never learned the answer, but as she got older, the mystery of her parents became something of a distant thought than a main concern.

A single mother by the name of Nana Labelle was Nina's guardian, along with being the guardian of a younger boy by the name of Louis and twin sisters Renee and Sophie. Nina was the oldest of her ragtag siblings and while they were all different, they all got along rather well. Her family was patched together but it was good as it was. As the oldest sibling, Nina often took on the task of acting as baby sitter and second mother when Nana was busy with other things. It instilled Nina's responsible and natural desire to take care of others.

Which bled over into her years of going to the neighboring town's Pokemon Academy. At the start of her Academy career, Nina Labelle was a timid flower waiting to bloom before she was dragged into a group of girls that became her best friends over the years. The girls helped her bloom more confidently, and encouraged her to not worry so much about her schoolwork. You can just have some nerd do it they said, pressuring her into the idea so she could have more free time with them, and so Nina managed to get through her Academy career by flirting with her smarter classmates and convincing friends into letting her copy their work. She's never been the smartest person, but she became wiser over time.

During her school years, her enabling gal pals were all of a higher class - money wise that was. So with Nina being from a lower middle class family, she struggled to keep up with the other girls' spending habits. In an effort to not get left behind, she took up new hobbies like sewing to make her own fancy clothes while also working odd jobs to earn money to help afford whatever was trending at the time. Despite her best efforts though, she was always steps behind her friends.

They never understood why she always seemed to be struggling to keep up with them as Nina would lie all the time about her situation in fear of rejection if they knew the truth. When they wanted to do big trips or shopping sprees, she always avoided the matter - trying to only participate during the occasional expensive activity. She never explained why she couldn't hang out all that much but with her constant lying and struggle to keep up resulted with a steadily growing sense of resentment in her friends.

So, when it came time for the kids to graduate and form groups for travelling Kalos, Nina was swiftly abandoned by her friends who accused her of being a careless leech. They promptly left before she had a chance to explain or apologize, thus leaving Nina without a group to travel Kalos as was required of her graduating class. Desperate and afraid, she grabbed literally any loner she could find and formed a new ragtag group who would eventually become the best friends she had ever had.

The start of the journey was already hard for her, given the fact she was with a bunch of people she knew, but wasn't close to. The journey only got harder when their efforts to face the gym leaders of Kalos led them to clashes with a nefarious team that was hidden deep in the underbelly of Kalos. With it's fingers dug deep into the Pokemon League, the police, and it's power spread throughout the region, Nina and her new friends were neck deep in trouble as they fought to take down this underground organization.

Barely scraping by the numerous battles it took to defeat this team and their morphs, Nina's new friendships were pushed to their limits and back. The boys she found herself surrounded by went from some loners she grabbed last second to feeling like brothers to her. When they saw her home, her family, the things she tried so desperately to hide, they welcomed her back to their sides with opened arms. The battles they fought together tested every ounce of their beings but in the explosive ending of their efforts to stop this team, they succeeded.

Not without getting hurt and needed the longest vacations of their lives, though. Nina was the most fortunate of the group, but she took on the task of watching over her friends until each and every one checked out of the hospital. They started their own new paths, and Nina's was a long step back from the harsh battlefront she never wanted to experience again. With a job offer from a fashion brand called Beautifly's Secret that she had earned the appeal of from her heroic efforts, she began a career as a model.

Now she was travelling to Stellara to help with the groundwork of a new branch of the company. By their request, she even took with her a Pokemon bred specifically for the fashion and coordinating scene - who was the only Pokemon she decided to bring with her on this journey. Roi the young Alolan Vulpix would be her starter companion on this trip.

PERSONALITY — Roi is french for Prince, as it should be for this little Prima Donna. Bred specifically to be beautiful and pristine, before he was given to Nina, this Vulpix lived in the lap of luxury. He was spoiled and pampered, given only the finest of treats and toys! He's very picky and hoity toity - even towards his own trainer. While Nina has learned to come back down to Earth over her travels, this young brat has yet to learn the same lessons. He holds his head high very proudly and gets very frustrated very quickly when things does not go his way. Should his fur get dirtied or out of place though, Roi will lose his mind - throwing tantrums and having melt downs until Nina soothes his panic. It can get quite messy.
