Short and petite, Dara is used to being easily overlooked. She keeps her teal hair short and the tips are a bit jagged due to her insistence on cutting it herself. Dara tends to keep her head in the clouds and her eyes reflect this state of mind; her gaze typically glazed over or unfocused. She's a rather active individual with lean muscles and short limbs and can often be seen jogging on unmarked trails through forests and mountain passes; much to Sal's dismay. (According to him one of these days she's going to get lost.)

Her burgundy eyes are large and round framed by her thin nose bridge descending down to a short and pointed tip. Dara's thin and gloss-coated lips are typically stretched into an absented-minded smile and her chin is small and pointed; matching most of her facial features.

Dara usually wears tank tops and cotton shorts while lounging or in the city and jeans with a baggy hoodie when she's out in the wild. She gravitates towards colors that match the season and is almost always wearing short black boots.


Dara is an outgoing individual with a rather bubbly personality. She spends her time reaching out to others in the attempts at making contacts in her belief you could never have too many friends. While she enjoys connecting with others her attempts at forcing friendship can make her far too trusting of others she hasn't spent all too much time getting to know. She has been burnt before by her "innocence" when Sal tends to scold her for her trusting nature but she always brushes it off as paranoia, much to the Chikorita's displeasure of never being taken seriously. Dara enjoys helping others and often puts others before herself though she is more likely to side with Pokemon than humans in most (to all) cases.

She approaches the world with a cheerful disposition and tries to be an optimist most of the time. She is often a complete ditz and hardly ever pays attention to where her feet are going which in and of itself sums up how she reacts to the world in a nutshell. She is sensitive around her Pokemon and cares very deeply for them, wanting to protect them and inspire them to achieve whatever their hearts content.

In truth Dara is all too sensitive to take things too seriously. She often deflects serious situations by trying to be charming or uplifting, making her immature and incapable of handling scenarios that require tact or professionalism. While she isn't necessarily childish she does have a long way to go before anyone sees hers as a true adult.

Born in the country side into a family of traditional Hunters Dara lived a rustic lifestyle and remained oblivious to her parents poaching until recently. Her first few years of life were spent with her grandparents as her mother and father worked; though they phoned in from time to time to see her take her first steps and 'ooh' and 'ahh' at her finger paintings. She never really felt her parents absence thanks to her grandparents tendency to spoil her rotten (later she found this life of luxury was lived at the expense of captured wild Pokemon) but at the time+ she never thought to question where all the money came from.

For a while Dara was home schooled, her family hoping to ease her into their lifestyle of poaching with the proper grooming in an attempt to cultivate a sense of carelessness when it came to Pokemon. But she grew restless with this life and when she reached the age of 16 Dara begged to go to a real city to experience the hustle of city life. After some persistent pestering she was finally granted her wish and moved to Lacaille City with the compromise that she would live with a retired aunt and still attend large family gatherings and celebrations.

Dara found the change in scenery exhilarating. She'd never been around so many people let alone nature loving people and their passion became her own; much to her aunts chagrin. Her parents tried desperately to pull her back into the life they wished for her to lead but she was able to dodge their attempts for a solid three years; their busy schedules always working in her favor. A couple months before her 19th birthday Dara came across a hurt Chikorita while jogging through the Kaxyl Forest. The poor Pokemon was defensive and lashed out though it was only strong enough to leave slashes across her exposed calves. Dara tried to calm the Pokemon to no success but remained stubborn and managed to corral the Grass Pokemon to the nearest Pokecenter. Whether the Chikorita belonged to someone before it was wounded in the woods was unknown but Dara insisted on taking him home once he'd calmed down enough to let her hold him.

When Dara walked through the door with the Pokemon in her arms her aunt was livid and demand they go see her parents immediately. Confused as to why, Dara agreed and carried the now sleeping Chikorita with her as they traveled. Before they arrived at her childhood home Dara decisively named the Chikorita Sal; receiving a worried stare from her aunt in the process. Upon their arrival Sal was scooped up by her mother and taken away. Dara wasn't sure why but let the Chikorita go in the belief Sal would be fine. Her father sat her down and sternly told her what she'd done was wrong though the family would at least benefit from her actions.

Still confused and oblivious to his meaning Dara went to follow her mother and retrieve Sal. As she left the house she saw her mother and aunt shove the Chikorita into a cage and shouted at them to stop. Dara shoved her mother and in tears desperately grabbed at the cage Sal was trapped in. Shouts and jostling continued until Dara managed to unlatched the door and let the Grass Pokemon free. Though Sal had the opportunity to flee he stayed by Dara's side and tried to tackle anyone who got near. She was outraged with her family and felt betrayed; the clues of her youth finally connecting in her mind. She ran; Sal quick at her heals.

With no where else to go Dara returned to Lacaille City to retrieve her things from her aunts and attempt to make it on her own in the wide world of Stellara. With Sal at her side Dara has decided to try and become a Breeder with the hope of giving back all that her family has stolen from the world.

PERSONALITY — Sal has a very no nonsense view on life. He is easily annoyed by his trainer when she refuses to take situations seriously and can often be seen glaring in Dara's direction when she makes simple mistakes or ignores him. He is incredibly driven and pushes Dara and the rest of her team often, deeming himself the leader in almost every situation that warrants one. Sal is dedicated and will push himself to great lengths to get what he wants, often arguing with Dara when he feels she's not focused enough. He really just wants what is best for his trainer and knows if he can just push her to reach her (and his) achievements then they will both be better off for it. Though they often argue Sal and Dara are still growing their relationship and luckily are never on the outs for long. Sal is the pushing force when it comes to Dara achieving her dreams and often fears she would stand still in life without him. He is incredibly loyal to her and will defend her and her honor in pretty much any situation (though his hot-headedness will often times make him go too far and start fights).
