Luna is short for her age she stands at a mere five feet two inches. The young woman hates the fact that she is mistaken to be younger than her actual age. This is due to mostly to her petite height, but her doe eyes and round face also contribute. Her long dark locks flow down her back all the way to her hips.

She is usually in seen in skirts and dresses. On her journey she is always trying to find ways to wear a different outfits whether it's by having her family send clothes or buying them. One thing is for sure, she has a very girly taste.





Luna is the type of person to like adventure, she is the type of person that needs to mix it up in order to feel busy and happy. She is a very empathetic person always feeling other’s feelings whether they are people or Pokémon. She is loyal; to her friends and Pokémon, she would do anything to keep them safe. She is a kind, friendly person only wanting the best for the people around her.

The teen is also a polite and quiet girl, but not because of some social anxiety to speak but rather because she’s been sheltered. She’s not necessarily afraid of social contact but she can be awkward at times, she is easy to feel embarrassed. The teen doesn’t fear conflict but does not see the point if it’s unnecessary; she’d rather let it slide off her even if it stings for a while if it will lead to a resolution.

However, she can be rather naive. Her empathetic side makes her very forgiving. If someone feels remorse over their actions, even if it’s fake, she is also likely to forgive them She gives everyone a second chance. She is stubborn, she may not be reckless but when she sets her mind of something she will try her hardest to accomplish it. Luna is very emotional, she tends to feel the pain of others as her own, just like she gushes over anything cute she sees.


Luna is the second child of three to a Pokémon breeder and a gym leader in Goldenrod City, Johto Region. Growing up she was a wild child, always running off to places she wasn't supposed to go. Her two brothers were always chasing after her trying to keep her safe. One morning at the age of 6 she ran off into the forest behind her mother's gym while everyone was too busy to keep an eye on her. She kept running until she heard a pained squeak under her; she looked down to see she had stepped on a Spinarak. She quickly stepped off it apologizing to the small creature when she realized there were many Ariados and Spinaraks surrounding her. She screamed when one approached her, when they suddenly all scurried away from her mom's large Ursaring. Ever since that day she has been scared of spider like Pokémon.

This was also when her more sheltered life began. Her parents in particular her dad wanted to keep their only daughter to be safe. He began teaching her the ways of a breeder. At first, the young girl enjoyed it, she enjoyed being his assistant which involved running around the store fetching things until she was a bit older. Once of an older age he began teaching her tidbits, like how each Pokémon was different and to pay attention to the smallest detail to see when a Pokémon was sad, happy, or even angry. Her father also began to teach her about Pokémon nutrition and grooming. During this period her father also taught her everything he knew about flowers, and herbs as he believed they held properties that helped Pokémon grow. For a while, she was content with being home all the time she only left when it was needed for her to run an errand or see a Pokémon at their home.

It wasn’t until she was 14 and her younger brother had come back home from his journey that she decided she was growing resentment towards breeding. Not because she was beginning to feel hate towards the Pokémon, or her training but because it felt like they were the shackles forcing her to be at home all the time. It was at this point that she began working as a waitress at a local restaurant, she enjoyed meeting the people even if all she was able to say was “Hello, how are you today?” and “May I take your order?” It was the first normal contact she was having with people other than her father’s clients. The teen on her breaks or spare time often spent her time in the kitchen watching the chef cook, it always amazed her how beautiful cooking was. It took delicate but strong motions, there were many colors blended into one dish, different flavors to incorporate and many mixtures of it. It was a complex, yet beautiful artform, she quickly became interested in human nutrition and food in general. The chef took notice and was find enough to let her come to the back and learn from them.

When she was 15 her older brother returned from his journey for a break at home, but he did not come empty handed. He came back with a rowdy Chikorita in hand. Luna stared at the Chikorita for a few days, while everyone left it alone. At first, it had been running around the little pen smashing into everything but then it began to just wander the pen, head hung low. She realized it was sad but why?

The teen immediately ran out and hopped over the fence into the pen. Chikorita immediately took a defensive stance against her. Luna sat down in the corner of the pen, she knew the smaller green Pokémon would do no harm against her, but this confirmed it. The Pokémon feared people, once it realized everyone was gone and they were alone in the pen they had calmed down. The teen sat in her spot for hours, her family had come out and told her many times to return but she refused each time even yelling at them when she had enough. It was when she began to nod off when the Chikorita came close. The girl smiled at the green Pokémon, slowly reaching out to it. The green Pokémon flinched but didn’t run when it noticed she wasn’t going to hit it. With soft hands she began petting the Chikorita, the green Pokémon quickly opened up and got closer enjoying the affection before nestling in between her legs. The two fell asleep there, out in the open together.

It was no surprise when Luna got sick but Chikorita stuck to her bedside and could not be pried away. It was then her brother told her he had rescued the Pokémon from these bad people that were probably abusing it. Because of this she decided she was going to name the Chikorita, Zinnia after the flower of endurance, pure goodness and lasting affection.

When she turned 16 she knew she wanted to travel and immediately began making preparations to convince her parents. It took her a while to get through her dad, but he agreed to let her go for a year before she had to come back. Luna agreed, she knows she probably will want to keep traveling but for now she wants to prove what she can do out there so her dad can finally cut these strings tying her to her father.

At 17 she finally left her home, and felt relief when she realized that she had the ability to do what she wanted and when she wanted.

PERSONALITY — Zinnia is wary of people. When first meeting other humans she is hostile, she growls at them but does not attack unless she believes there is a real threat to herself of her trainer. When she feels there is no threat she spends time hiding behind Luna just watching this stranger. It takes her a while to warm up still but when she does she becomes a playful, cheerful creature that enjoys affection given to her.

Zinnia is head-strong, she can be rash when it comes to protecting her trainer, but she can also be curious. If she hears a little noise in some bushes she will stop to listen before heading into said bush to see what it is.
