Emilia is not the most pleasant person to be around. She is very arrogant and proud, and she makes it known to everyone she meets. Her personality is extremely off-putting. Upon first glance, she appears aloof and disinterested, her eyes never quite meeting another person’s. If you actually manage to force her to talk, you’ll wish you hadn’t. Emilia seeks out the weaknesses in other people and immediately brings them to light, putting down the other person.

In Pokemon battles, particularly gym battles, Emilia is ruthless. She’ll do whatever it takes to win, pushing boundaries to ensure victory. Emilia proves to be just as fiery and uncontrollable as her gym leader status suggests. Her battle strategy is all about striking quick, striking fast, and striking hard. Upon victory, she likes to gloat and brag on her own skill and her partnership with her Pokemon. On the flip side, she is a very sore loser and has been known to deny gym badges only to begrudgingly award them later on.

The only time one might see an ounce of softness on Emilia’s face is when her Pokemon are involved. Despite her hard exterior, Emilia deeply cares about her Pokemon. They are the remnant of the carefree child she used to be, and she would protect them with her life and she pushes them to be the very best they can be. She is extremely conscious of her teams’ needs and desires, and strives to provide for them.


Emilia wasn’t always the bitter, arrogant soul she is now. She used to be much, much different.

She was born in the Stellara region, her father being the former Nair City gym leader. It was determined from the moment of Emilia’s birth that she would one day take over the gym for her father.

Growing up, Emilia’s childhood was full of hardships. Her father pushed her to become a strong trainer, punishing her when she lost a battle and never really encouraging her victories. It was hard on the child, and she grew bitter and resentful.

Unlike most children, Emilia did not receive a Pokemon when she turned ten. Her father deemed her unworthy of having a partner and forbade her from getting one. Emilia was heartbroken. All she wanted was to be a normal child, and she cursed her father for being a gym leader. Her resentment grew.

At the age of sixteen, Emilia’s life changed drastically. She finally beat her father in a Pokemon battle using the team he had loaned her, and he told her she was ready to take his place as the gym leader. It was the last thing Emilia wanted, but her father declared that he was retiring and that Emilia would take his place. It wasn’t like she had much of a choice.

Emilia was thrust into the position of gym leader, and she took out her frustrations on each and every trainer that came her way. She became known ironically as the “Stellara Sweetheart”, which gave challenging trainers quite a bit of a surprise when they met her.

Shortly after turning twenty-five, Emilia received her first Pokemon, a Salandit that she called Slithers. It was the first time since she was a child that Emilia was…happy. She fell in love with the little lizard and the two became an unstoppable pair, with Slithers quickly becoming the star of Emilia’s gym team.

Now, Emilia spend her days in Nair City, taking on challenges and destroying everyone that steps foot in her gym. Occasionally, she will take a short hiatus to do some traveling, only to return to her gym to accept more challenges. Woe be unto those that take on the Stellara Sweeheart.

PERSONALITY — Slithers is a rambunctious and mischievous Pokemon. She loves to get into trouble and cause problems for others. Slithers is an intense battler, and she loves to provoke other Pokemon into battles, much to her trainer’s approval. Slithers is also incredibly smart, poisoning her victims before ruthlessly attacking with her fire-type attacks.

Slithers is very protective of her trainer, and will attack anyone that threatens Emilia. The Salandit is a master of scare tactics, spitting threateningly and hissing at potential threats. But her bite is much worse than her bark, and she won’t hesitate to attack anyone that isn’t swayed by her initial warnings.
