MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. The Pokemon that came out was one that he had never seen before. At a glance, it reminded him of a spider, so it was probably a bug type. The water bubble on its head though? Very strange, but he supposed it would be an educated guess to think it was also part water type. That wasn't a huge problem--none of his Pokemon were susceptible to some water, but of course he had to be careful. Bug types were still a glaring weakness to Psychic types, especially since they were very much capable of physical prowess. As tradition goes, the challenger got the first move, and instead of attacking Gothita directly, he started with a status move. At least he wasn't foolhardy, Arthur thought. Usually they would underestimate his small Pokemon and ram them with brute force. Hold. Arthur commanded telepathically. As daunting as the Spider Web attack looked, it kind of looked like an upgraded version of String Shot, which meant that it wasn't damage inducing. Still, the fact that Gothita was stuck in it was going to be a problem. Most of Gothita's moves required her to be in proximity to her opponent, so he figured that there was only one thing to do. Fake Tears. To Doug, it would look like that Gothita was crying out of nowhere while still trapped in the spider web. The gym leader still kept a neutral expression, not even bothering to move his mouth. Woobat was on the ground instead of his shoulder so that he could concentrate better, but she had a goofy expression on her face. She was thinking that she was pretty sure she could top that Fake Tears, but Gothita was doing a good job. Depending on his challenger's next move, he would either have to break out of the spider web or use a move to defend somehow.
Battle log: - Gothita got trapped in the web! She can't switch out now... - Gothita used Fake Tears!

Ah Crap. What the heck? Already? "Seriously? The other guy's waited until getting smacked, at least!" He said at the Gothita's tears, disbelief in his tone before he shook his head. Getting distracted with the gatekeeper was fine; but he was definitely not about to do it with the damn Gym Leader in front of him. Dewpider, however, simply got a rush of confidence, seeing the enemy so intimidated by its first move. It had just set its web and the enemy was already quaking in tears. This would be so easy! "Never let an opportunity pass us! Use Bubble-B!" He said, sort of slurring out the word at the end, making it almost sound like 'Bubble beam'. The Dewpider nodded quickly, the bubble surrounding its head quaking as it opened its mouth wide and appeared to take a deep breath. Rather than sucking in the water bubble however, it suddenly began expanding, the surface tinting green as it grew until it was roughly the size of a beach ball. And then the Dewpider seemed to exhale. Immediately the water bubble seemed to deflate as dozens of smaller, glowing green bubbles were expelled from it, all of them floating at high velocity's away from it until the battlefield was dotted with them like small mines. "That's more like it, wouldn't you say?" He said to his pokemon with a grin, before pointing towards the top of the dome. Araquanid wasn't super agile on a flat, solid surface; but Doug knew how to fix that. "Use Spider Web!" He ordered, his pokemon following his hand before shooting another set of webbing towards the roof. It attached itself to the windowed surface, casting a very feeble window crack shadow onto the field.

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. Well, that was worth a shot. The challenger looked like he was in disbelief on how weak Gothita was, while the Dewpider looked smug. He tried to keep his calm as they launched the next attack, a "Bubble-B", was it? It sounded like Bubble Beam, but when the bubbles did come out, he quickly noted that it was not a regular move. The gym leader remembered seeing this phenomenon once before with another bug type expert, so it unnerved him a bit but willed himself to focus and remain observant. Once all the bubbles were in place--floating precariously around Gothita, he supposed it was time for them to try attacking. Thunder Wave, full force. The small Pokemon lightly nodded before gathering her energy. The next moment, there was a huge shower of sparks from her body, almost akin to an Electric type's Thunder Shock. It burned through the Spider Web but also exploded the bubbles within her vicinity, triggering a chain reaction that caused an illogical explosion that smokescreened the battlefield. Arthur knew that it would be difficult to get Gothita up that Spider Web, but she also didn't have any moves that could take it down (besides Thunder Wave, but maybe he'd try to do that later). For now, he figured that it would be better to try to get that Dewpider down somehow. Are you alright? as the smoke cleared, Gothita had been bruised from the move, but was still standing firm. It hit her good, but she wasn't going to let that stop her from getting knocked out in one hit. They would need to be more cautious from now on, but his next command ultimately betrayed his own logical thinking, Taunt the little bastard. The Gothita looked up to the hanging Dewpider and shot a sweet smile, making a come hither motion with her small arm.
Battle log: - Gothita uses Thunder Wave to escape the Spider Web! - Gothita triggers the Bubble mine field and gets a direct hit! - Gothita manages to get out relatively scathed and Taunts Dewpider!

Ah Crap. Well... Shit. That was about the only thing he could think when the Gothita immediately dropped the crybaby act and proceeded to fry the webbing holding her in place. With an electric move.Luckily, it had set off the bubbles surrounding the Gothita as well; hopefully, that had smartened a tad. Doug only had one question, though. Why wasn't the Gym Leader saying anything? There had been no input whatsoever from the man across the battlefield so far. Was he just letting the Gothita do as thought? Was the Gothita a stubborn case, like his Scyther? She certainly didn't look the part. Then again, she had just taunted his pokemon. "Oh, This bodes poorly." muttered the boy as his Dewpider visibly bristled at the other pokemon, taking in a deep breath and filling up its water bubble once again, the bubble enlarging to beach ball size before immediately being blown the Gothita's way. Unlike before, the bubbles flew towards the psychic pokemon in nearly a straight path, their surface clear and transparent as it zoned into the tiny pokemon. "Oh goddamn it!" Groaned Doug, palming his face. "Don't you sink to her level! I mean that literally, stay up there and use Spider Web!" If Dewpider even heard him, she did not show it, her bubble filling up once again as she prepared to fire off another round of bubbles; regular bubbles again. "Goddamn it."

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. The Taunt actually worked almost too well, Arthur thought, ordering Gothita to dodge the stream of bubbles that came at her. Because they were almost shaped like beams, they were easy to move out of the way, and he was thankful that it wasn't the minefield one that he used a while ago. That Dewpider took a while to use his attack, so they could use that charging time as an opening. Unfortunately, with Gothita moving so much, it made it difficult to keep a steady connection to her. They hadn't practiced enough to be able to even communicate seamlessly while she was moving around and concentration on avoiding the bubbles. Finally when it came to the point where the Dewpider had to inflate his water bubble, he gave the command, Use Thunder Wave on Dewpider!Gothita let out a cry, similarly charging her attack and unleashing a straight bolt at her opponent the same moment when another wave of bubbles was unleashed. She had little choice but to accept the attack, which while painful was not enough to knock her out yet. It was, after all, a special attack, and Psychic types were usually known for higher special defence. The ideal outcome would be that the Dewpider would become paralysed and be unable to maintain hold on the Spider Web. Otherwise, well, they could always resort to Confusion instead. That move took a lot of concentration to do, but it would definitely be a lot easier while Dewpider was immobilised.
Battle log: - Gothita dodges the angry bubbles gracefully! - Gothita uses Thunder Wave on Dewpider, but takes a hit from the bubbles while doing so!

Ah Crap. The loudest thing in the room was the sound of Doug's palm meeting his forehead just as the thunder wave smacked the Dewpider fully, zapping at its body. She trembled in place, legs wobbly and water bubble trembling as she gave her trainer a look of panic. Yeaup, she was probably not liking that feeling, Doug guessed. Electricity and water didn't mix in the best of ways, to be sure. Watching her tremble, her footing unsure on the webbing, Doug racked his brain for an answer as to what to do in his situation, his digits tentatively inching towards the spider's Net ball. Perhaps a retreat was in order; he had pokemon better equipped to handle this situation. Yet, as he looked between her and the Gothite, an idea came to him, his lips growing taut, before he gave his pokemon a nod; he had a plan. And then she friggin' fell off the webbing. "God-" Started creaming Doug as the Spider fell towards the floor, his eyes widening, his mind rushing to come up with something "-Damn- USE INFESTATION!" He ordered suddenly just as his pokemon rushed towards the floor, her bubble beginning to glow green once again, preparing to- She smacked into the floor soundly, her bubble seemingly popping and sending the glowing water splattering all over the place, the green, glowing substance viscous and heavy. Also, sort of alive and intent on nibbling onto the Gothite. The water was filled to the brim with tiny, living creatures of short life span. Their one job: to make the next minute the most grueling moments of the Gothite's life.

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. It wasn't only Doug who had felt panic when the Dewpider fell. At first it was fine--things were going to plan and it would be easy to attack the Dewpider with its paralysis and while it was on the ground, but before it could even hit, the challenger issued a final(?) attack that was heading right towards Gothita. The water, while faceless, looked extremely terrifying as it raced towards the small figure. Would Confusion be able to stop it? Arthur wasn't sure if he wanted to take the risk, but he needed to act fast, otherwise Gothita was going to be in pain and also stuck while his challenger would probably do a switch. As he was racking his brain, the slithering, watery blobs drew closer. This all happened in a span of a few seconds: Gothita screamed in his mind, desperately asking for help. For a moment, the sheer fear of her tone made him react defensively, and he raised his hand to summon a dome-like Light Barrier around his Pokemon. The Infestation-induced water crawled around the barrier, but couldn't get in. Since they couldn't find the target, they eventually reverted back to regular liquid, sinking down to the ground. All the while, it was silent as the dome disappeared and Arthur muttered his first words since the start of the challenge, "Oh fuck."As the adrenaline subsided slowly, it was replaced by sheer panic. Gothita doesn't know Light Screen, but at the same time he couldn't just admit to his challenger that he did that! At the same time, it was wholly unfair to the young man...Gothita would've fainted from that attack if he didn't stop it. But how was he going to be able to tell him that he wasn't going to use Gothita out of fairness, since the challenger would've assumed that his Pokemon was the one who protected itself? Oh fuck, this wasn't good. He usually didn't lose his cool like that, and he wasn't sure why during now of all times he decided to react that way. Ugh! Okay, he had better think of something fast before the challenger asks too many questions. P-pretend to faint! he communicated to her rapidly. Gothita, who was also stunned and confused from the sudden Light Screen, quickly tried to get her bearings and let out a pained cry before falling on her back. It looked stupid and fake, but it would have to do. "O-oh no, she can't battle anymore." Arthur said; his voice racked with anxiousness. No, come on, Wright, snap out of it! Keep your composure... Taking a deep breath, he stood up straight as he returned his Pokemon to their Poke Ball. "I'm down to two Pokemon now, but I don't think that your Pokemon is in any condition to continue fighting either." whatever Doug's response may be, he gingerly took his next Poke Ball from his belt, mulling over what he should do now that this whole Light Screen fiasco had come about. He was too shaken to use telepathy in the next round. There was little choice in the matter. "Your turn, Munna." he threw the ball in the air, releasing a small, pink creature. He looked quite sleepy. "(Hrmmm? Time to battle..?)"

Ah Crap. So... That happened. Oh well, he supposed it was just things that happened during Gym battl- "Uh... what the heck just happened?" Asked the boy in confusion, his hand reaching for his hair and grasping at the locks, his face showing his plain confusion in its features. Dewpider had managed to use infestation before smacking solidly into the floor obviously, the slam serving to splatter the infested water all over the battlefield, to their fortune. He had been pretty sure they had the round there, but then Gothita showed she apparently had her own... Light screen? You win some, you lose some, they would say. The attack had failed due to the barrier, clearly. So why exactly had she fainted, again? As the boy tried to work out the logic behind what had happened, his pokemon very slowly tried to stumble to her feet. Her face yanked away from the floor with an audible twack, having attached itself to it like a sticker from the sound smack from before. The water scattered across the field very slowly began to move towards her, wrapping itself around her head until the bubble was once again in place. She stumbled across the field uncertainly, her movements slow and jittery, her balance completely off. Seeing his arachnid out of all things out of balance brought Doug out of thinking, the boy rushing to catch his pokemon just as she stumbled to face plant once again. "That's enough, you." He said, as her face touched against his jacket, his arms wrapping around her tiny form. He smiled down at her as she looked up to him tiredly, her eyes droopy and the movement tight and mechanical. The paralysis hadn't wear off at all yet. Doug fought to not grimace, keeping his smile as he spoke. "You did amazing, okay? You won! Get some shut eye now, the rest of the guys can handle it." He said, before reaching for his belt and grasping her Net Ball, returning her to the device. With her back in her pokeball, he turned his gaze back to the other side of the field to find their new opponent, returning to his side outside of the battlefield immediately after. He eyed the Munna carefully, before shrugging at himself and pulling out a Pokedex. The 'dream eater' pokemon more than suggested a few things about its abilities. Reaching into his belt, he tugged at a Net ball, "Go, Ledyba!" He said as he swung, the Net ball sailing in the air before releasing the ledybug pokemon into the battlefield. It glanced around sharply, more aware of what was going on now than during the first battle. It had been expecting it this time. Ledyba spun the air, giving its trainer a thumbs up and bringing two of its fists together before turning to face its opponent, holding out a fist towards it challengingly. "Let's not even waste time." Said the Bug catcher, holding out his hand towards the Munna. "Use Safeguard!" He ordered, his pokemon making a hum from the back of his throat as a halo of white energy appeared around it, before expelling outwards suddenly. The energy gathered around the rest of Doug's Net balls, coating them and the Ledyba before slowly fading away. "Now use Tackle!" ordered Doug, Ledyba nodding sharply before its wings began flapping vigorously, sending it hurtling towards the Munna shoulder first, a battle cry echoing within the chamber.

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. Oh thank Arceus he didn't ask was the main thought racing in Arthur's mind right now. He supposed that his Munna distracted him since he pulled out his PokeDex, but that didn't mean that the gym leader had an edge or anything. Actually, it would just make the challenger more cautious, and oftentimes the mistakes of others were blessings in battle. When Doug sent out his Pokemon, he admittedly did not know what it was. It just looked like another bug type to Arthur, but with really mean looking fists. The Ledyba looked really hyped to battle; if Lucas were here (which he unfortunately wasn't, he had other errands to run) he would've liked to see how the little Pokemon fared against Arthur's. Munna didn't looked fazed by his opponent's enthusiasm. If anything, he seemed too lazy to give a reply, since all he was doing was just floating there lazily. While the white-haired man had been practicing telepathy with Munna as well, he felt too bristled by earlier events to trust in his capabilities at the moment. For now, he would have little choice but to give his commands normally. He let the challenger have the first move, which happened to Safeguard. Smart choice he thought, since Munna had access to a number of status moves that would've really incapacitated the bug type given the chance. Now they had little choice but to wait for the effect to run its course. For the mean time... A bold attack, huh? He waited for the Ledyba to pick up speed before issuing his command, "Charge Beam, Munna."The pink Pokemon did not appear to react, but in the next moment, a yellow ball of electricity formed in front of its forehead, and because the Ledyba was aiming directly for him, Charge Beam had a clear shot at zapping the poor bug. The beam, while not as powerful as a Thunderbolt, aimed straight for his opponent with enough force to knock him back. There was no chance for the bug to get paralysed, but Charge Beam had a better effect that Arthur was counting on. With the residual sparks from the ball of electricity, Munna opened his mouth and seemed to swallow it. Rather than hurting the Pokemon, he became covered in a soft glow for a moment before disappearing. Perfect, the gym leader thought. "Time to counterattack. Use Swift!" the Munna let out a cry as his body glowed before doing a somersault in the air. Yellow stars then came from the energy that coated the Pokemon, aimed at Ledyba.

Ah Crap. In retrospective, going for tackle without really knowing what the opponent could do when he had a ranged attack was very dumb.
Doug could only slap his hand onto his forehead as Ledyba ran facefirst into a lightning bolt, getting repelled back with a shocked yelp, the ledybug bouncing off the floor once before suddenly holding all four of his arms wide, his wing span spreading to stop him in place. For a second, Ledyba shuddered, electricity courcing through his body before he finally managed to shake off the pain with a low gasp. Doug grunted alongside him, gritting his teeth. It would only be getting worse if he didn't get his head in the game, and quick. There was no dodging swift, and definitely no time to prepare their own swift to counter. "Use Light Screen!" Ordered the boy firmly, his pokemon nodding wearily before swinging all four of his arms in front of himself, a cube shaped barrier forming around him just in time for the swift attack to crash into it. Ledyba grit his teeth as the stars battered at the barrier, the box cracking in places and letting a few of the stars sail by, clipping the Ledyba's sides. When the barrage was over, the barrier slowly faded, leaving a worse for the wear Ledybug. They had to start counterattacking, now. Doug had scanned the battlefield while Ledyba was holding the barrier, noting the remnants of the last battle. A mildly charred webbing was still spread over the floor, and the webbing Dewpider had attached to the ceiling was still in place. He narrowed his eyes. He had something, but for now: "Let's return the favor! Ledyba, Swift-B!" He ordered as he held his hand towards the Munna, Ledyba growling under its breath as the green energy swiftly gathered at the tip of its four fists. With a howl, it began swinging wildly at the Munna, the flurry of punches sending neon green, window crack spiderwebs of energy flying at the Munna at high speed.

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. One direct hit and one indirect hit was satisfactory for the mean time. They just needed to keep the barrage going and he would soon be able to tie with a two on two. Unfortunately, the fact that the little bug had Light Screen was definitely an issue. Munna had no physical moves to bypass it, and so they had little else but brute force. Sure there was that boost in Special Attack, but he would honestly need another boost to do some more damage. Hmm, he needed to defend from that Swift-B somehow (he noticed that it was something similar to the Bubble-B that the other bug used earlier). What to do? He felt annoyed at himself for not giving Munna anything defensive during times like this, but then he remembered one of the moves that sort of acted like a Light Screen. Could it work? Might as well give it a shot. "Munna, use Imprison on yourself! Then use Defence Curl!" the Pokemon was a little surprised by the command, but he executed it somehow--he summoned a forcefield that would usually trap his opponent along with his moves. When the Swift-B came, it smacked the forcefield silly, cracking it in certain places. Munna had then used Defence Curl to boost his defence, and while it wouldn't dampen the damage that much from any straggling stars, it would still make a decent block since he was curling his body. Ultimately the forcefield eventually broke down, but Munna was able to survive the assault with minor damage. They needed to destroy any sort of advantage the opponent could have over them, and it was only then he remembered the web hanging above them. "Charge Beam! Make it soar!" there was a distance between Ledyba and Munna, but honestly hitting the bug was going to be a bonus. With another electric ball, the pink Pokemon let loose a beam that was aimed originally at Ledyba, but then was pointed upward, severing another part of the web so that the rest would fall to its side. Now there was a huge web to the wall rather than the ceiling. It'd be fucking hell if he could still use that somehow, but burning the whole web would take too much work on their part. For now, they had to keep the assault going. Lady Luck was on their side as Charge Beam's secondary effect kicked in once more. Now Munna's Special Attack was at two stages. Even Light Screen would have a tough time sustaining a hit like that.
Battle log: - Munna uses Imprison on himself! While he couldn't move, he managed to defend himself rather successfully against Swift-B - Munna used Defence Curl while in the forcefield for further defence boosting. (^ Def) - Munna used Charge Beam, burning a part of the web so that it wouldn't be hanging on the ceiling anymore. - 63/100 - Munna's Special Attack is raised! (^^ Spec. Attack)

Ah Crap. " Duck!" Screamed the boy to the Ladybug, the pokemon yelping as it swooped low, the heat of the electric blast heating the chitin surface of its carapace as it barely scraped by before it sailed right over its head. Doug watched the blast sail right into the side of the webbing he had been planning to use seconds ago, ripping through it and causing it to promptly fall to the side, hanging from the dome like ceiling like a draped mantle. Well... "Ledyba, use swift!" he ordered swinging his arm wide. The ledybug gave a sharp nod. That wide swing was different from the rest; where he usually held his arm towards the opponent, a wide swing meant...! Following the gesture of the swing quickly, The Ledyba found itself staring at the webbing, hanging off the ceiling on threads. With a roar, it swung its fists twice, a sharp one-two punch that sent two stars sailing towards the webbing, cleaving through the threads holding it. The Web began to fall, air resistance marginally slowing its descent as Doug held his arm towards the Munna. "Grab it and use supersonic!" Ordered Doug. Ledyba's wings picked up speed as it summersaulted over the webbing, the wings becoming little more than a blur as the soundwaves caused by the flapping began to reverberate in the enclosed chamber, trying to attack the Munna's senses. Doug held onto his ears tightly, a grimacing grin stretching over his lips despite pain as Ledyba grabbed onto the burned off edge of the webbing. "Trap it!" The order was rather easy to understand. With a roar, the Ledyba swooped in towards the Munna, moonsaulting towards it and swinging down the web towards it to trap it in place.

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. The fact that the Ledyba was still going to the webbing instead of Munna was not a good sign. Before Arthur could get his bearings, their opponent had use Swift to cut the last portions that were holding up the gigantic web before meaning to trap his own Pokemon inside of it. Ah, this was kind of like what happened with Gothita a while ago, huh? But worse because it was coupled with Supersonic, which Munna had no hope in dodging. Not good. Arthur had to close his ears as well from the buzzing that hurt his head. The web was way too heavy for him to lift up on his own. The best idea would be to cut it through, and Arthur had an idea on how, but he was not sure if the order was going to be executed correctly. "Munna!" the Pokemon was still floating against the webbing, but it was clear that he could not move much higher. Worse yet was that his eyes were in swirls, indicating his confusion. Well, even if he was confused, it was still better to break the webbing chaotically rather than leaving him there. "Use Psybeam to get out of there!"But somehow the pink Pokemon misheard it and thought of Charge Beam again, building up electricity sloppily so he ended up lightly shocking himself while releasing an even more powerful bolt than before at a random direction--it turned out to be moving right at Doug. Oh shit--"Look out!" the Charge Beam continued to swivel around out of control from being boosted by two stages, cutting through the web but charring the wall in the process.
Battle log: - The plan goes smoothly for Doug -- Munna gets trapped and also confused! - Confusion Check: 3/100 (where < 33 means confusion kicks in) - Munna mishears his trainer and uses an out of control Charge Beam! - Spec. Attack check 27/100 (where < 70 gets a spec attack boost) - Munna's Special Attack is raised! (^^^ Spec. Attack)

HOLY SH- "Finish this before it uses Psybeam, Ledyba! Use- F*CK!" The boy interrupted himself before he could finish, throwing himself to the side and tucking and rolling into a crouching position swiftly just as the beam of thunder cut through the air he had stood on before. His hair stood on end, and he could feel the little hairs in his arms tingling. Holy shit. For almost a second, silen- " WRYYYY!" Nevermind then. Ledyba's battle cry cut through the short lived silence the attack had left in its wake, its rage boiling over at the perceived attack on its trainer. It didn't need Doug's orders to know what it needed to do, growling ferociously as it held out all fists sharply, neon green energy gathering at the tip of its fists before it swung back all of its arms and then rammed them together. The energy collapsed into itself, four waves of green energy forming into a single larger energy wave, before the ladybug swung its arms above itself, the energy taking the form of a single, massive window crack web. Ledyba roared as it swung the massive Swift-B at the Munna like a disc, the attacking soaring towards the other pokemon and zeroing towards it... well, swiftly.

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. Thank Arceus that his challenger was able to dodge that attack. He didn't like the idea of having to pay for insurance for a blunder on his part, and well, obviously electrocuting a challenger was going to bring problems to himself, the gym, and Wright Corp. in general. A piercing scream then cut through his thoughts, and understandably the Ledyba was furious for Munna's confused attack. It looked alike another Swift-B, but it was much more powerful than the last one. Shit they were in trouble. He looked at Munna and noticed that the shock, while a tad painful, managed to get him to snap out of his confusion. Alright, it was now or never! "Munna, Psybeam!" the pink Pokemon didn't need to be told twice. There was no way with his speed that he could dodge that, but because he had been powered up significantly with his Charge Beams, it was now time to put its strength to the test. Letting out a loud battle cry, his whole body glowed as a large, powerful beam exploded from his tiny frame. The two moves met, causing an explosion that burned a whole through the web that was soaring towards Munna. As a result, the Psybeam managed to go through, aimed straight at Ledyba. But Arthur knew that this was a lost cause--the Swift-B still managed to make its mark, slamming into his Pokemon for a super effective, critical hit. He could do nothing but watch helplessly as his Munna was forced back, collapsing from such a strong attack. Damn, he was now down to one. There was little hope for him winning this battle, whether the Dewpider was knocked out or not. Nevertheless, he would soldier on until the end. His last Pokemon would be a determining factor on whether this was a certain loss or a glimmer of hope. "Munna, return." he called back his Pokemon, though he wasn't sure if the Ledyba had been knocked out as well. If the bug type dodged it, then he was truly unlucky. Otherwise, well, that raised his chances somewhat.
Battle log: - Swift-B meets its mark, but before fainting, Munna launches a powerful Psybeam! - The Psybeam cuts through a part of the Swift-B and moves straight for Ledyba!
